Prof. James Short, Deputy Director of CECD, has been selected Executive Editor for the Journal of Energetic Materials. He has been directly involved in the journal and has served as one of its Editorial Board members.

The Journal of Energetic Materials provides an international forum for scientific and technical interchange in the disciplines of explosives, propellants, and pyrotechnics, covering topics such as molecular orbital calculations, synthetic and analytical chemistry, formulation, ignition and detonation properties, thermal decomposition, hazards testing, biotechnology, and toxicological and environmental aspects of energetic materials production. It is a refereed journal published quarterly.
